The Handy Man

This is Greg putting in a reverse osmosis something or another under our sink. Basically a water filter because the water around here will make your esophagus turn rusty if it comes in contact with it. He is turning into a regular handy man, I had no idea!
Notice the drill next to him............Just in case : )

A new addition.........

Well, we kept a kitten and she is pleasantly entertaining. Whitey's new name is Princess Puff which varies to Princess Poof. Chanseler is the genius behind the Princess Puff and Jay the genius behind Princess Poof. She is fitting in quite nicely. We did have an incident this morning before school. I walked into the kitchen to find Jay sobbing. I asked what the problem was and come to find out the Princess Poof had missed the litter box. Jay was very upset about the situation saying that he did not want the house to smell like cat POO! Thats my little OCD child........
I told him I completely understood. The others in the house could not quite see the big deal.

He loves his drill........

These first two pictures are of Greg putting up his first of many ceiling fans. He did a wonderful job. You know how many times I heard, "Who's the man?" and "Whats my name?!"
This is a picture of my kitchen.

Easter Day

The Easter Bunny rolled in around 11:00 am. He is alot slower than Santa because he has to hop everywhere! (Lucky Santa with all those Reindeer) He happened to come by when we were at Wal-Mart and left a surprise for the boys. "WOW, Chance we must have been really good this year. LOOK, he brought us candy!" were the first words out of Jays mouth. Chance's non-chalant reply, "Yep, we were good". Needless to say they enjoyed the Easter baskets very much.

Loving the House

Here are some pics of the new house. Nena and Pop helped out remendously. George and Dora May came over and helped out. George did a wonderful job on the pantry, LOVE it! Though you can't quite see all of it in the pictures, it is HUGE (now I have to fill it up) : ) You can see the laundry area with the folding table and mini shelf for laundry detergent. We all worked very hard and it payed off. We are very happy and there is no way we could have got this far without the help of family. Thanks to everyone!

Sand Storm

The night Greg left there was a serious sand storm. It didn't hit Big Spring, although it was on the way home from the airport. Here are some pics of the storm. I am told I haven't really seen one yet. We shall see!

Duck with a Mohawk.....

While Greg was in TC the boys and I spent some time down at the pond. We took some pics of a duck with a mohawk. Is this normal? I don't remember seeing any ducks such as this around the coast. The boys had a wonderful time during interactive play with the kittens. I came to the realization that the blank, starry eyed stare that we so often get does probably mean that they are listening. Apparently, one kitty was being very disobedient so Jay asked Chance to take the other brothers away so he could have a talk with the misbehaver. I think his exact words were, "I'll deal with this one, Chance". I asked Jay what the discussion was about and he mentioned that they had talked and maybe next time the kitten would think before he acts........Interesting!

Bluebonnets

Jay's new fascination is Bluebonnets. He is very confused about how they grow around here. They seem to be popping up everwhere. He mentioned how funny it was that they grow here because they should only be growing around the Alamo because it is the state flower of Texas, ya know.

These are some older pics from before Christmas.

Life in Big Spring

Tuesdays and Thursdays have proven to be our busiest nights of the week. Chance and Jay have their practices and Greg has now began playing on the BSFD softball league. His softball league has games every Tues. and Thurs. at 8pm. Chance and Jay have games every Saturday. They might have have their games staggered but unfortunately this Saturday they are not. This Saturday we have pics for Jay at 11am, pics for Chance at 1:15pm, and both their games start at 2pm (and they play across town at seperate fields). Joy!

Here are a few pics of the evenings festivities. We had an assembly for the Cowboy Kindergarteners at 6pm, we had batting practice for Chance at 6pm, and Gregs game at 8pm. We somehow managed to get hot dogs and homework done prior to our running around. I think everyone in the house is enjoying staying busy. We are finally getting into a routine in Big Spring, YEA!

I have experienced the hierarchy of Big Spring. I have the prestigious moms of the preschool aged children on Jay's team and the complete opposite on Chance's. Apparently, according to the preschool moms, BSISD is not the best place to send your child to school.
"You know, you don't know what you are getting with the public school system anymore"
"There is just too much diversity" I wonder what they would think of Galveston County? Alot of the parents have decided to drive to Midland every morning and afternoon to send their children to a private school which involves Classical Education. Sounds interesting, just not sure if I am that committed to "protecting" my childrens awareness of the real world.

Belly News

Okay, so I know the belly pictures have been more and more infrequent. They fact of the matter is, I am liking taking pictures less and less. Greg says it is because I can't fit in the camera view anymore. Oh well, such is life. Here I am, 27 wks and 4 days. ( I will email out the album)

Kitty Update

Most of you have heard the news about our "kitten" surprise. For those who haven't heard, when we came home from Spring Break, we had a Momma cat with three brand new kittens in a box on our porch. At first the Momma cat was not friendly at all, but of course we have been feeding her and she has began purring and waiting at the window for her food. The kittens are finally big enough to walk around and they have their eyes open. Cute enough to take pictures of! They boys have given them names...........

Whitey......................................and The Black Jack Twins. (clever, aren't they)

Whitey tends to be the mean one, he does not venture out and has already mastered hissing. The twins come out and play often and love to be scratched on the back of their heads.

Our room

Here is the new color. We are happy with it. It is much better than the white. I think the pictures really give it more a yellow look than it really is. In actuality, the bottom color kinda blends in with the carpet.
