How cute is my baby!

All is well here, Jax is doing very well and as cute as ever. We had pictures taken yesterday and they will be coming in on the 6th of Aug. so we are patiently waiting for them. They are too cute, of course. By the way did I say how cute my son is?
The other two boys are fine they are gearing up for school. Today we had our usual fighting over food which consists of Chance stealing Jay's food, when it comes down to it I think Jay really wants him to.
Everyday I see how different my boys are. The other day there was a huge fight because Jay held Chance hostage in a dark room with the door shut. Jay was literally holding the door and covering the light panel so Chance would freak out. So, that is what happened, Chance freaked out. Another beautiful day in the neighborhood.

What A Day

We had a funny day today. Let me start off by saying yesterday I was getting my daily dose of Oprah. It was about Crystal Meth and how it destroys peoples lives through addiction. Chance happened to be in the room and I contemplated on whether he should be watching the program or not, but I then thought it was okay because it would be a good conversation starter.
So, today Chance and I were in the pool while Jay was babysitting. Greg was at work. We were floating around the pool and I thought it would be a great time to bring up the program, a little one on one time. I began to ask Chance if he remembered the show and he said yes. In my most motherly way I asked him how he felt about it and made sure he understood. He said to me, "Is this one of those times, like moments, that you shouldn't pass up with your child to talk about drugs. Like that commercial says?"
Ummmmm, can we say Caught off guard?
I suddenly realized that my child is embracing every aspect of cable television.
My response, "Yes Chance, thats right"
"Okay then Mom go ahead" was his reply as he bobbed his head up and down and went under for sunken pennies.
What do you say after that? He kinda finalized the conversation for me.
Just wait the day is not over............
When we made it inside, Jay still babysitting began a conversation with his brother. I have no clue what it started with but this is what I heard.....
Chance: "Yeah, I learned that in school"
Jay: "Will you quit saying you learned everything in school, its like you think you are
ELBERT EINSTINE or somethin"
Chance :"Maybe I am Elbert EINSTEIN"
Jay: "You know when you think your really smart, it makes you look really dumb!"
All this followed up with the boys realizing I actually had colored TV when I was their age BUT I only had 3 channels, per Chance.

Everything is going well here in Big Spring. Just getting adjusted to having three boys and Gregs new schedule. Jax is a stinker, following in his brothers footsteps. Last night I gave him cereal for the first time in his bottle. He LOVED it, slept six hours and it wasn't even in my bed. Jax has graduated from his bassinet to his big boy bed. He seems to sleep better in there, probably due to the fact that his room is the coolest in the house. We go to the dr next week to f/u and get shots.
My oldest two are doing well. I get the usual random comments from them. Chance told me that my "scallops" on my toes were not appealing and I needed to moisturize (aka callouses, its the dry heat, for real).
Here are some pics of Jax lifting up his head, I think he is on the verge of rolling over. I am also going to put a link up to see mini movies of the boys.

First and Foremost

Well, we are home and we enjoyed the visit to Texas City seeing everyone. I have many strories but this is one I must write of first.
Chance's birthday is coming up and he will be 9 years old. His father bought him a baby Bearded Dragon to bring back home with him. We all know how fond I am of creepy creatures but surprisingly enough this little booger was cute. It was a tiny little thing that ate baby crickets right out of your hand. Anyways, Chance was very knowledgable of how Spikey needed to be taken care of. It was obvious in how descriptive he was in telling Tiffani and Abby the do's and dont's. Spikey made the trip all the way home without any problem. The problem happened the next day.
Chance took Spikey outside to warm up. This was around 9am. I went outside about 10:30 and had my bonding moment with the dragon by feeding him the crickets. By the way, Greg was outside all day putting up the pool(just thought I would throw that in there). I went back out around noon-thirty and noticed the cage still outside and mentioned to Chance he needed to bring him in. Chance went to get Spikey and I suddenly heard, "Oh NO!"
"What happened?" I replied
"Spikey died of dehydration", Chance replied back.
I went to go get Spikey and he was truly white and brittle, fried to death by the west Texas sun.
The 113 degree heat was apparently too much for the little booger.
We put him back in his cage with water in Chance's room to see if he would rehydrate,
per Chance.
I asked Chance today if he had checked on Spikey lately and he said, "Oh yes, he didn't make it".
I said, "Well, do you want to bury him?"
"No, I already took care of it" It seems that all the formality has gone due to the pronoun usage.
"What did you do", I asked.
"I throw it away"
"Where?"
"In the trash" very matter of factly.
"You didn't want to bury Spikey?" I was truly more concerned about this than Chance because his reply was, "Isn't that the same thing as throwing it away?!"

Interesting!

This is a random pic of Chance since I have not seen them for about 5 wks now. They have been enjoying themselves with a visit back home and staying completely busy (judging from their lack of euthusiasm with the thought of returning). I spoke with them today and it was the usual how are you, what are you doing? The conversation soon went to the realization that they would be returning shortly. Chance asked me if we were coming down there to get him. I said yes. The next question, Are you bringing the baby?
I replied, Of course. Where else would he go?
Chance's suggestion was that he figured I would take him to a daycare or babysitter or something. Although he was excited when he found that wasn't the case.
The boys can't wait to see their baby brother!............
